Behavioral Health Services
SSM Behavioral Health Services is the largest provider of inpatient psychiatric treatment in the St. Louis region, with 235 beds available across four campuses. Crisis intervention services are available on specialty treatment units serving children, adolescents, adults, adults with developmental disabilities, and older adults. Our programs offer a highly structured combination of group therapy, psychiatric nursing, social work and activities therapy, under the direction of the attending psychiatrist. SSM Behavioral Health Services works closely with over thirty psychiatrists on staff to provide exceptional care across a wide range of psychiatric disorders.
Our outpatient day programs provide Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization treatment at three locations, and currently serve over 500 patients. These programs use a multidisciplinary team approach that includes psychologists, social workers, nurses and psychiatrists. 4. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint): 2 years or more.

5. Minitab Experience: 1 year or more (or other comparable Statistics Software)

6. Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated strength in analysis, synthesis, and intermediate statistics.

This position is open because our previous Team Leader has been promoted within SSM Health Care – St. Louis! (Congrats Dottie!) This role is the Nurse Manager (we call it Team Leader) of four telemetry units with 51 beds and a team of over ninety people. All patients needing telemetry comes through these units so this role requires someone that is very organized, focused and driven. We seek a natural problem solver and juggler who can handle multiple tasks at once and yet still keep their eye on the big picture. We have a strong, diverse team. Telemetry of course attracts new nurses so we work a great deal with the SSM Futures Nursing Academy in coaching and training new grads. We also have several staff members that have many years in the department – some more than 20!

You will enjoy reporting to our Director of Critical Care, a very popular leader who has been with SSM St. Joseph Health Center since 2000 and has a wealth of experience. She is known for her communication skills and compassion, a true servant leader.
